Most roofing mistakes start with incomplete information. Homeowners accept insurance settlements without knowing what the full scope of damage actually looks like. Property owners move forward with repairs when a replacement would have been the smarter call — or vice versa. The decisions you make about your roof are easier to get right when you start with an honest, thorough assessment.
CapRock Roofing & Construction provides roof inspections for homeowners, commercial property owners, and agricultural property owners across East Texas. We assess visible damage, take measurements, and give you a clear picture of what’s going on with your roof — before you commit to any path forward. For customers dealing with storm damage and the insurance process that follows, we also assist with documentation and supplement support.
We serve the I-45 corridor from Corsicana to Conroe, including Buffalo, Huntsville, Fairfield, Palestine, Centerville, Madisonville, and Willis.
A roof inspection isn’t just a quick look from the driveway. We get up on the roof, examine the surface condition, look at the edges and flashing, check penetrations, and assess the structural integrity of what’s visible.
Here’s what a CapRock roof inspection typically covers:
East Texas gets hit hard by storms. Hail, high winds, and severe weather events happen regularly across the I-45 corridor — and when they do, the insurance process that follows can be confusing, slow, and frustrating.
If your property sustained storm damage, here’s what the process typically looks like — and how we can help.
Before anything else, you need thorough documentation of what the storm did to your roof. This means photos, measurements, and a written assessment of the damage. Insurance adjusters rely on documentation when determining the scope of a claim. Incomplete documentation is one of the most common reasons initial claim payouts come in lower than expected. We help customers document their roof damage completely and accurately — giving you a solid foundation for your claim.
Once an insurance adjuster has assessed the damage, they'll produce a scope of work and an estimate (often in Xactimate format). This estimate determines the initial insurance payout. It doesn't always capture everything. Supplement items — things the adjuster missed or undervalued — are common in storm damage claims. Code upgrades, proper disposal costs, underlayment requirements, and additional materials often aren't included in the initial scope.
When the initial insurance estimate doesn't fully cover the legitimate cost of restoring your roof, a supplement can be filed. A supplement is a request to the insurance company to reconsider specific line items, backed by documentation and supporting evidence. We assist customers in identifying what may be missing from their insurance scope and support the documentation process. We work with you to make sure the information presented to your insurer is complete and accurate.
There’s a reason a lot of homeowners are skeptical of free roof inspections. Some contractors use them as an excuse to scare you into a replacement you may not need.
That’s not how we work.
When we inspect a roof, we tell you what we see. If the roof has a few years of life left and a targeted repair is the right call, we’ll tell you that. If the damage is extensive enough that replacement makes more sense economically, we’ll tell you that too — and explain why.
Our goal is to give you accurate information so you can make a smart decision. That’s what builds the kind of trust that leads to referrals and repeat business — and it’s how we’ve operated since we started in 2021.
Roof inspections aren’t just for storm damage situations. There are several circumstances where a professional inspection gives you valuable information.

Most roofing quotes come back within 24 hours. We get to approved jobs within two weeks in most cases. We know that a damaged or aging roof isn't something you want to sit on.
